I recently started using a HyperX Cloud II headset again, after my old one got replaced
I've noticed that audio is odd on my pc.. OBS doesn't pick up any audio from my desktop, seemingly because it's too quiet. Although this is happening, the audio coming through my headphones sounds perfectly fine and actually quite loud.
However, I can see that the volume mixer doesn't appear to be detecting much sound, as the bars that usually raise barely go up a few pixels. Also, my tf2 volume is set to 0.004 currently yet still sounds perfectly normal.

Overall it seems like audio on my pc is way louder than it's set to be, causing OBS to not pick up any sound as it seems to think everything is set to low volume. Only noticed this happening since I started using this headset

help

e: volume in windows is set to 100%, same in Levels for the headset itself and also OBS

search "sound" in windows. you should get something like this

make sure every playback device besides your new headset is disabled, and your new headset is set to default.
you can disable them by simple right-clicking them and clicking "disable"

I disabled them, headset was already default. Didn't seem to change much

your computer might be having a hard time recognizing the new hardware. go to your control panel and make sure your computer is recognizing the device. try clicking "add a device" under "hardware and sound".
