Yeah... so I don't exactly know where to post this kind of looking thread... and after discussing it with a few people they suggested in the Recruitment. So here I go.

Hi, I'm towel. I've been playing competitive tf2 since roughly 2011. All of my logged "official" experience is as Medic, mostly backup work in UGC and ESEA for both Highlander and 6s.

While I love to play Medic more than anything, I have a deep loyalty and determination to learn Pocket Soldier. I've already sort of not really have a Pocket Soldier mentor.

I'm looking for someone who is willing to be my Medic throughout my training period, and maybe (if I'm lucky) beyond that. You don't have to be some super skilled amazing god-like invite Medic or anything. Just a Medic who will be loyal to me, and won't ditch me later down the line because you've gotten impatient or fed up with my inability to properly play the class.

I'll be training as hard as I can, and will be extremely loyal to any Medic who picks me up. I have mumble, which is my preferred communication program.

I will ask to start out playing in pubs, to help me ease in to my role against players who are of my skill level. Later, when we both feel ready, we can go in to lobbies and/or pugs.

I have a strong loyalty to Medics and will do what I can to protect them. Trust is a major key point in becoming my Medic.

Yeah, so if you have any questions feel free to um message me I guess? Or add me? If you're interested? If this is the wrong section to place a post like this then I severely apologize.

Yeah...

Stay classy.

Why simply a medic? You should find a team that way you can even have your other teammates to help you improve.

Working on combo play would be a good start for a beginner pocket I'd assume.

I'd suggest your best bet - DM/MGE/Rocket jump on your own time, and just find a lower end team with 5 people you can stand, and just play as much tf2 with them as humanly possible. You will learn the pocket position quickly. The other thing that would help you greatly is looking over invite STVs, particularly of guys like TLR, Seagull, Lansky, and Tri. I'd put more names on that list, but STVs from that long ago are broken.

you people who don't play pocket don't understand. sometimes all you want is a medic you can cherish, play ultiduo with, first pick in pugs, shoot the shit in mumble with, and ultimately abandon as you chase glory at the next tier.

You should learn not to assume all people who want to learn to play pocket will do that. I'm not looking to chase glory. I'm looking to learn to play pocket for an entirely different reason you wouldn't understand since you're too quick to jump to conclusions about others.

I don't abandon my pockets. But I guess that's something you wouldn't know since you don't know me.
