To be fair in the US there is literally no way for them to include it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sales_taxes_in_the_United_States
Sales tax differs from state to state so unless you already logged in or selected your exact location for some reason (doesn't make sense for an online shop) they don't know how much to add.
In fact

The US Supreme Court has ruled on multiple occasions that a state can force a retailer to collect sales tax only if that retailer has a physical presence in that state. If there's no physical presence in a state, then the state can't require a retailer to pay taxes

but then of course there are states with laws that require them to do so anyway if they want to be allowed to sell anything in that state.

Of course literally every country except the US does it properly, but why change the site for that?
You're not buying from a shop in the US that ships from the US for quick and easy purchases. You want the full US experience, including tax confusion and long and dodgy shipping. Newegg is happy to oblige.

If for some reason you must absolutely have a 27" 1080p monitor here's it's successor which includes FreeSync.

It seems highly unlikely that the monitor from newegg, which has been out of production for a while, would be a better deal, since with VAT + shipping (monitors are not that small and therefore not cheap to ship) it'll cost about the same anyway.

In glorious 'murica we don't pay tax on purchases unless you live in the same state as the warehouse/dealer etc. So, you almost never see tax included on websites, and if you don't live in a state where the major online retailers have a presence you will never pay tax on online purchases to begin with.

20% what the fuck. Tried out a 27" 1080p monitor and didn't really like it much myself. 1440p is better for that size assuming your computer can handle it.

Newegg being tax free in my state is the reason I get most of my parts off it instead of amazon. +6.35% $1500+ purchase, no thanks.

i have a gtx 1060 3gb which is supposed to be good for higher resolutions but i doubt i could find a 2k 144hz for my budget which is around £250

24" is fine i only put the 27" in the thread because it was the same price pretty much as the 24"

anyone recommend a good 144hz 24" or 27" for that price?

i own this exact same monitor, it was pretty big to me when i first got it (moving up from 1280 x 960 60hz shitty monitor) but i got used to it within a few weeks and its served me well for almost 3 years now.
