you get a star. you need (i think) all the stars to complete the task to get the dragon paint. i think the 20 stars needed = all the remaining bonus stars

You not only need all the stars to get the dragon paint but the stars are like resources, you use them when you unlock new contracts

i didnt understand that you need stars to unlock shit until i did my 6th contract and wondered why i still only have 5 stars. i imagined the way to the dragon paint as easy but it seems like you really need to do all 108 contracts to get 20 stars right?

but you need to pay to accept a contract which means you can get only aroudn 1 star profit out of the contracts because the contracts cost around 1-2 stars and you can get 3 stars out of it

It is fully possible to hit 20 stars with having earned less than 50 total. Just need to pick out certain contracts. Map ones are generally easy to do, and only require 1-2 stars to activate
