Anyone played this? looks interesting, but geared for cs and probably objectively worse than just playing the game

Idk, I see it being more useful for the quake side of things. I feel as if a well made aim tf2 map would easily replace this

I don't get how things like this are supposed to be any better than just playing more of whatever game you're practicing for.

I dont find osu very helpful, I see it more of a good tool to get used to new mouse DPI or switching to mouce accel, angle snapping, etc

this game is good for practicing flicks and keeping your crosshair on the target however if you want to practice solider and demo this game isn't for you tbh

plus, it's better than websites due to the fact you are working in three dimensions

I put some hours into Aim Hero but I didn't go into it expecting it to improve my aim. I used it as a warm up tool before getting into pugs/matches and as a means of further building muscle memory, which for those I found it quite helpful

So I've played it and it has a couple issues that make it not worth buying for a tf2 player. First off it's pretty useless for projectile obviously. Secondly even as a pretty low sense gamer most of the time it doesn't require NEARLY enough mouse movement to properly warm up. Even with a 16+ inch 360 you only ever need to move your mouse a few inches to shoot the extreme far left and far right of the shooting range. You could adjust your sens to be extra low to make up for that but that would be counter productive. Osu with the sens turned way low(because the 2d nature of osu won't fuck with your 3d muscle memory) will be a much better warmup than aim hero because it will force you to actually move your mouse around a good bit. Obviously osu won't make you aim better it's just useful for warmup for people like me who just need to move the mouse around a good bit.

edit-completely forgot about the no movement thing. Your camera will always be stationary so you can't combine movement with aiming at all which is arguably good or bad but I figured I should point it out.

The images remind me of training_aim_csgo2, which exists in CSGO already. I'd rather use a map installed in the game already, to warm up for said game, than launching another game.

CSGO also has a recoil training map, which features moving targets.

Just a waste of $5 imo
