so basically after a windows 10 update i noticed that my tf2 was running at 60hz instead of my usual 75hz
i found this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/4l6g71/tf2_refuses_to_run_at_75hz/ which pointed me to some kind of nvidia driver fix so without really knowing what it was i installed it
instead of fixing tf2 not running at 75hz fullscreen, it made the game run noborder no matter if i added -fullscreen in launch options
that indeed made my game run at my desktop refresh rate which is 75 blablalbla
but windows 10 noborder=input lag so blablabla help blablabla
has anyone had the same problem before and if so could u maybe point me in the right direction because im completely lost

open the patch you downloaded then choose limitted ? or just reinstall your nvidia drivers then launch TF2 with -fullscreen and -freq 75 or -refreshrate 75 ( i don't remember but i think it's -freq )

refresh rate launch options dont change anything, reinstalled nvidia drivers and it didnt change anything either
the patch is as useless as it was for me before

ok honestly this is getting retarded, i put -autoconfig in launch options,
launched the game, removed it and launched it again which somehow fixed the game not being fullscreen
(of course 75hz still didnt work but at this point getting the game to run at fullscreen would be enough)
this worked for a few hours until now when my game just out of nowhere went noborder again
i simply cant get my game to run fullscreen at all, i beg you to help
i can provide hat

Is your monitor 75hz? If I'm not mistaken, 60hz displays can do 75hz because that's their vertical refresh rate, but only if you run the program at the a horizontal res that matches your monitor's vertical res.

MILKy_my monitors 60hz i overclocked it, idk

I don't know much about monitor OCing, but yeah, I think you're going to have to run tf2 at a lower resolution to do 75hz, sadly.

honestly its the weirdest thing ive ever experienced with tf2, its basically fullscreen...
i can change monitor gamma without a problem
but as the pirate that i am i also get a windows activation watermark which only shows ingame if you have windowed on
so basically my game thinks im running fullscreen
but im actually running noborder
with all the terrible input lag and shit

try creating a custom resolution on the nvidia panel to match what you want (res and hz)
