I was a big fan of the CoD 4 through MW3 era. I stopped buying them since they added jet packs, wallrunning etc. Even though they were trying to spice things up with that kind of stuff, I felt like they strayed too far from what made the CoD series a fun game to play. Felt a bit gimmicky to me. Even though many say that BO2 and BO3 were the best ones of the series as of recently, I struggled to see the appeal. With this new installation, I hope they are not hoping to cash in the popularity of Battlefield 1, with the return to the world wars, even though this one is set in WWII. Since it seems like they are adding vehicles from the trailer, I can only imagine that this new game stays true to the fast paced shooter that WaW once was, instead of creating a BF1 clone. I am waiting in anticipation to see if they find a way to make world war games interesting again, as I feel as though they have been beaten to death. Not too optimistic to be honest.

Censorship utterly disgusts me. political pandering just as much. Censorship isn't just a crime against knowledge, but all of humanity in pursuit of understanding the adversity's of the past. We should be able to face that adversity, and overcome it, but instead we hide it like a dirty secret under our mattress. I have no respect for people, governments, or institutions who can not accept these events and ideals in the public eye; as factual evidence of humanity's flaws. The result is that certain groups use this censorship as evidence of their righteousness, and so ignorance is propagated in the pursuit of forgetting these horrible deeds. I will end my diatribe with a quote from Noam Chomsky, "Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. It is a brand on the imagination that affects the individual who has suffered it, forever."

Is beel trolling? I hope he is. Yeah there are black female nazi soldiers and the swastikas are replaced by iron crosses. But who cares? Game play isn't effected by these things and if you care about immersion then cod is the wrong game.

Back on topic. Looks okay for cod, seems sort of slow but that opinion is formed by watching drifter(a slow player) so I don't really know I suppose. I might buy it but will likely wait for a sale if it ever happens.

When you make a video game on one of the worst, if not THE worst events in human history, I think it's important to a LOT of people that you get something like that historically accurate. I'm all for equality but holy shit this is such bad levels of Political Correctness. Like, this shit is a cancer. Tell history like it is. They sit there in their developer chairs and they preach about making the game have an art style that pays tribute to the brutality and ugliness of the war LIKE IT REALLY WAS, then they pull this shit? When a person creates ANY medium of art based around a historic event it means a LOT to people when it is not told right. A big slap to the face to many, if I'm correct in thinking they feel about it as I do.

#15 It's real.

#14 There's no actual reason to do any of it and betray actual history. There is no actual law in Germany that prohibits Swastikas in historical based things, which this is, so even just removing it for just them makes no sense. Removing this kind of stuff for - incorrectly displayed I might add for the Nazis since they lack the Hakenkreuz in the middle - Iron Crosses or adding black female soldiers is the worst form of Political Correctness: Factual Incorrectness.

If you don't understand how subtlety warping how history is displayed through not just games but a wide variety of mediums like this isn't damaging - in a world where there are literally groups of people who believe the Holocaust never happened and it was all faked ffs - then I don't really know what to say.
