Waffles are the superior substrate for syrup and other toppings. Though I do see how someone could have other preferences, if they haven't had good waffles. I am also a big fan of pancakes, but only if they're dense, like buckwheat pancakes, not the light and fluffy bs that you'll get from ihop, or lots of store bought pancake mixes.

French toast is the shit if made correctly. I like my French toast nice and soft, no crunch at all.
Pancakes are a close second. I never enjoyed eating Waffles.
