if i leave my game on for over an hour or so I start getting a stutter every time I get regen. It's annoying when doing jump maps and nearly unplayable when doing one that gives constant regen like old demo maps. If im shooting a rocket at the same time i get regen there is a sharp noise.

Anyone know what the issue is here? I removed hud and fps cfg, verified game files and it still persists

Uninstall the game?

And have you made sure all settings are default?

hekswhat are your system specs and what are your temps?

i5 3570K @ 4GHz, GTX 970, 8GB DDR3 RAM on W10.
Temp seems to be around 100C but I'm not sure why it's that high. I usually watch a stream while playing but I don't see how that would give me such high cpu temps.

used to have the exact same issue with my old cpu when it became really hot, no longer have it with the same config and settings on a new cpu that doesn't get very hot. perhaps buy a better cpu cooler? i couldn't find a fix when i had the issue either

100c is way to fucking high for a CPU, I'm amazed your PC didn't auto power off

Clean your PC and make sure all your fans work in it.

100C is definitely way too high. Are you sure it's not 100F? That'd be a normal slightly-above-idle temp for a 3570k.

do you have any sound regen files in your cfg ? that used to happen to me because i had a script that made new sound files for the maps to disable the regen sound
it shows up like this "jump_4dakids_final_level_sounds" on tf/download/maps
i cant remember correctly but it used something like .wav sounds that dont exist anymore and the console kept getting spammed by errors
