TFTV cast mumble comms

I started following high level 6s matches just pre i55 and one of my favourite things about watching this game
was the occasional drop in on the teams mumble comms to get to hear their excitement, dissapointment or insight that the casters couldn't provide the same way that it did. It made for some of my favourite moments in my short time that I've been following the competitive scene and then all the sudden TFTV stopped doing it. Why?

I can understand some teams might not want to have their comms listened to but I'm sure they were never forced to it if they didn't want to.
They must have had some sort of reason for removing what was in my opinion one of the best things about watching TF2, something you couldn't really find in other games and what made me watch more tftv casts in the first place.

Why did they do it?

The reason is that it's hard to consistently get teams into the casting mumble before matches, you can't control what they say, and it didn't seem to add much to the cast. A lot of professional esports don't do this for the same reason, and if they do include it (like in LoL, for example), it's edited in post.

They still do after game interviews though, you can't really control what the players say in those either no?
As for the professional esports comparison, fair enough really. As I mentioned before the reason why I thought it was so cool was because you don't see it done in other games so it made TF2 a more entertaining experience to watch for me.

Personally, I'd love to watch a cast and hear something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXh5cMfnRXg

Wasn't it a big hassle because it didn't work half the time with the STV delay/when the game was paused that broke it because of the delay? I must say I'm sad there won't be a KANKERZOOI Mk. 2, but I can understand that it just wasn't worth the various technical/organisatory/public image trouble.

there is no problem if the game is paused tbh

It's a dumb idea, for the viewers yeah it can be funny but for the people playing the game being casted its pretty shitty.

There is a problem with pauses, the pause happens at a different point in the game than the stv so they get desynced. The real reason is that no other games really do it and not using the overlay lets us do a lot more with the hud. The infrastructure for having 12 mumble bots and getting everyone in the same mumble etc is a lot of work too. Additionally it wasn't consistent, often there's no point getting Russian only comms or some teams didn't consent or we got some really racist shit on the stream.
