We did get 1k views, though. That's pretty good

1.2k-1.5k for a lot, that's definitely an improvement from last season, but the numbers would have been much higher with some recognition from valve

Ye my money is on that no one on the tf2 team was aware of the grand final happening let alone putting an announcement up for it in game

The stream was first on the stream list in-game. That's way more exposure than a post about it.
People who cared probably clicked on it. It's not like a post about it would make a significant difference.

I sent an email out to TF team by Thursday already about it, but I had not even gotten any reply to it at all since. :(

Could just be that they wouldn't read out a single email in the ocean with all the hate messages related to removing quickplay, which is highly likely, or not, who knows.

nobody ever clicks this tiny-ass button of a tv on the main menu or any of those small buttons up there except when they get a new item. the boost of viewers only happened when that automatically opened and people actually saw the streams.

literally all they have to do is look at tf.tv's upcoming events once a week

Did they change this in the most recent update? I don't really see any problem with the stream list opening up automatically when people launch the game, only issue is that it could get annoying if it was there every time you hit escape or if you close it and it opens up again.

i don't know when they changed it, but there was a noticeable drop in viewers that was sudden rather than gradual. it doesn't make sense why they'd do that if they wanted tf2's audience on twitch to get it but

i'm 99% sure it's because people bitched about it on reddit.

toads_tfi'm 99% sure it's because people bitched about it on reddit.

It most likely was because of those whiney redditors

https://www.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/4pwyzr/an_option_to_disable_new_live_streams_popup/

I'm probably missing more threads
