TF2 In-Game FPS drop

So this came up out of nowhere, but my game has started dropping from a usual 200 fps to 15-40 fps. I'm not using a graphics config, I haven't changed anything. Just the night before, I would run it fine with high fps, but now its a consistent low fps. The game goes back up to 200 whenever I change a graphics setting through TF2's in game options, but goes back down whenever I change servers. My ping is fine. Anyone have a fix?
I've tried relaunching my game, and restarting my PC.

DX9
Nvidia GTX 645
BenQ XL2411Z Refresh Rate 144hz

ShpeeismeWhat is the setting that fixes it when you change it in-game?

Literally any setting that affects visuals as long as its through the video options. I usually change shadow quality or texture quality.

I've had a similar issue before. Try re-installing your Nvidia driver and/or revert it to an older one.

FireMaybe try a graphics config and see if it works, the ingame options sometimes reset some other options aswell, so maybe you just got a bad gfx cvar in your cfg that gets reset by the ingame Video options.

Do you have any graphics config recommendations?
