I have been having this problem where every time I launch TF2 and I get past the Valve intro my game just freezes on the loading screen for 2-5 mins. When I switched to using default HUD I didn't have this problem I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem and if they fixed it or it might just be me. Thanks in advance

It looks about 9 hours ago he updated the main menu/loading screen backgrounds. You could try using the HUD without them. materials/vgui/replay/thumbnails/ background_upward_widescreen.vtf(.vmt) are the ones that load when the game launches.

i had that problem where it would take forever to load and touching anything would crash it, what fixed it for me was killing the shadowplay application in task manager.

I tried this but didn't do anything but thanks for the suggestion
