I'm trying to change my max_fps because after overclocking my PC it was running too fast and glitching out, so I tried to change the max_fps and it's not working :/

Change it in the autoexec because it will overwrite your setting everytime you start the game.

Are you execing your fps cfg in autoexec after doing the fps_max 121? I'd say check out the fps cfg, if present, and look for an fps limit in there.

You can't change fps_max while connected to a server, including local ones.

Set your fps_max to 999. It only glitches if you go over 1000 and hitting your FPS cap in source engine games causes input lag.

He said in another thread that that isn't his issue

Also the problem doesn't seem to be my max fps, it's the fact I can't change my max fps, the command isn't working
