Projectile Lag

So try to picture this in your head. IF you guys still don't understand what I'm talking about, I can then provide a video.
Lately in TF2, I have been getting many problems. One of them is projectile lag. Im guessing it might be my fucked up interp settings, but basically, it's worst on demo. After clicking, like a full .25 second delay before it actually fires, and weirder yet, the pipes come from behind me, not my pipe but from literally behind me. For soldier, their is also like a .10 Second delay before the rocket actually fires. Pls Gaben or someone D:

I know there have been already some threads about projectile lag, but I cant really find any that explain the weird projectile firing from behind me.

I get the exact same thing, it's incredibly off putting. It's like the pipe model isn't in sync and there's so many times where the pipe will be behind the person it's hitting my a large margin but it will still register a hit.

If youre talking about, when you would fire the rocket would be rendered but take .25 seconds before it actually leaves the gun. It happpened to me when I tried to put Comanglia's net settings into Rhapsody's config

ping at that moment in time + interp + roughly 1/cmdrate/2 = rough projectile delay

switch wifi to ethernet, improve the quality of your internet connection, or there's nothing else to do about it

lerp, cmdrate, and updaterate all show up on net graph, we could have helped you if you had posted the screenshot.

posting your original settings and then the settings you used to resolve the issue will help with other people having similar problems, if you get the time?

I had these from chriss max frames:

//cl_cmdrate 66
//cl_interp 0
//cl_interp_ratio 1
//cl_lagcompensation 1
//cl_pred_optimize 2
//cl_smooth 0
//cl_smoothtime 0.01
//cl_updaterate 66
//rate 60000

I just swapped to the one in randoms config but I haven't tried it yet. There's nothing else in my cfg files that have network settings

Aight so here's my config:

http://www.filedropper.com/cfg_5

It's in a shit state because I've been running TF2 with just vanilla and stuff, but this is literally my entire config.

At the moment I'm really desperate to fix this shit, if someone finds the solution I'll give them an unusual hat.

I had this problem before, it weirdly went away after I verified the game files in steam.

EDIT: your config is a mess
cl_cmdrate 66
cl_updaterate 66
cl_interp 0.01515151515
cl_interp_ratio 1
cl_lagcompensation 1
cl_pred_optimize 2
cl_smooth 1
cl_smoothtime 0.015151515
rate 60000

hope you're not using these, also it appears that you have mat_queue_mode -1

can you say what you changed, I don't think people just like overwriting their entire config not knowing what's different

Edit: ran a diff, he changed the net settings to the ones below in autoexec.cfg and commented out the executing of other configs (probably should be uncommented in actual use)

cl_cmdrate 66
cl_updaterate 66
cl_interp 0.01515151515

There's my full custom file.

Issue still isn't fixed, tried to do snd_mixahead whatever reset but that didn't fix it either.

You are getting choke. The issue is probably on your ISP's end. Try asking them for a better router/modem. I had this same issue before mine got swapped.

Crap...
any way to change net settings to help deal with it in the meantime?

with FiOS, I'm pretty much stuck with using the bad Actiontec routers, or upgrading to the AC router for a ridiculous cost.

You can always try experimenting with decreasing the rate settings as well as trying to decrease congestion by reducing other traffic on your network.

I started googling and for the most part didn't find relevant information, but I DID find this:

EDIT: Right off the bat, Microsoft Edge feels WTFFAST
