Building a sentry at last while ubered and taunt killing somebody walking out of spawn aren't really top play material imo, basically take no skill.

Also #1 was more relying on the other team being bad and using a stupid unlock than using skill, I don't know that I would personally put it above most of those other clips, but ig I'm not making the video

disappointing... especially as a soldier main there are hardly any respectable or serious clips from 6s and its kind of a turn off to see silly shenanigans especially a taunt kill. It just seems like you don't respect the game or competitive when you display clips like that. It's hard to take the game serious when some of the clips are portrayed in a video where it's supposed to be the top 10 best plays of the month. I also don't really get why every month there are atleast 7 sniper/scout/pyro clips. Every month I look forward to something better than last month but I'm just disappointed as always. Please improve the quality of these "top 10 plays." And if its not your fault because of lack of clips being sent in I'm sorry. But it's really frustrating to be let down every month. And I know I'm not alone here.....

I find it hard to believe that all of these clips are from league matches. But yea you're right and I agree with that.

There's a lot of clips from these top10 that arent from leagues, there's a lot of lobby clips actually.People just omit that for a cheap shot at their 15 mins of fame and I cant really fault Luke for most of that, but there are some glaring ones that even so you can clearly see it's from a lobby...
Also with 100k subs Im sure theres more than enough material. Hell, I only received 11 submissions on comptf this month and there's better demos than these.

Myself and many others I've talked to have admitted to submitting decent clips that are much more worthy of being in the top 10 plays. But that's also kind of my point is that there are so many subs and people willing to submit great clips yet they still choose to display shenanigans with unlocks and pyro/snipers every month.

Not to be personal or insulting to extine but he seems biased towards highlander/arena respawn/not 6s because of how more lenient blacklists are. Me and my friends used to look forward to cool plays but it seems that they only accept clips of gimmicky gameplay. I've seen people encourage these videos (usually people who only play hl/4s/A:R) but this kind of stuff should be on nislt's channel for how non serious it is. I feel bad even saying that as half the shit there is better than this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdqaOAlRODk. I've already unsubscribed so I don't have to be dissapointed by these "plays of the month" anymore.

The differences between the qualities of production and the standards of the clips themselves are ridiculously noticeable. I am not saying extv are not entitled to choose what they upload or the clips they uses, but the overall quality of the top 10 plays, as a result of these choice of clips, is undeniably diminishing.

These videos simply fails to promote any competitive side of tf2. From the view of a competitive player, the clips are a joke. From the view of a casual player, the games seems like a gimmick.

Personally, this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufFoSkcG8Vo remains my favourite top 10 plays to date because it has a perfect mix of every side of comp tf2.

6v6: 12 (broken download: 1)
9v9: 21
4v4: 5 (broken download: 1)
A:R: 2
Total submissions: 40

So definitely the majority was highlander. Either way we don't have the manpower to go through every premiership / invite match to look for possible Top10 clips. If you see something awesome, please feel free to submit it.

Either way that doesn't really matter. We used the best 10 clips from all 40 submissions. We sort first which clips are worthy at all to go in a video. After that we start ordering. It's usually pretty obvious which of the clips should be used. Only the #10 and sometimes #9 spot are sometimes difficult to choose. 6v6 submissions are offclasses half of the time.

i think all competitive modes in this game should be included in a top 10. HL/6s/A.R. (idek if people play that tbh), they're all playing tf2 competitively, with their own merits. obviously theres a high bias towards having 6s clips since its arguably the more format for tf2, where as highlander and AR has a lot of wacky classes/unlocks/etc.

that being said i feel the top ten has fallen off quite a lot. obviously if more HL clips are sent as opposed to 6's clips, theres going to be a higher chance the top 10 is filled with HL clips. which in my opinion, isnt necessarily a bad thing, but the quality of all the clips has drastically dropped off. obviously i dont have the ability to know what was sent in in total, but a pyro hitting a taunt kill on a medic doesnt seem exactly like "top 10 plays" quality, that or the AR scout shenanigans

the only clip best clip in that top 10 was number 3. mainly cause, i know Herr is good, i know the enemy team is good, and getting that clip was very skillful. the others i feel are just "wow look at this wacky shit this guy pulled!" i feel something needs to be addressed for the top 10
