Hide Steam Overlay in OBS?

I've been using OBS for my stream, but I would like to know if it's possible to hide the steam overlay on-stream so my messages and stuff don't have to appear on the stream while I'm playing.

If you use game capture it shouldn't get displayed

im not 100% sure, but i think using game capture instead of window capture may fix your problem
