South American Pubbers vs. Pros next sunday

This Sunday we will have the 4th Pubbers vs. Pros in South America. I believe most of you know how it works: a highlander team of 9 pubstars will play against a 6s team of competitive players.

The competitive team will be the (almost) worldwide known Monster just after securing their repeat championship in the Brazilian League of Team Fortress 2.

We will cast it (in portuguese) and I'm inviting all of you to watch it with us. You will have the chance to hear some sexy brazilian accents speaking a language you probably can't understand or you can put some music and just watch the game.

It will happen this Sunday (10/26) at 7 PM EDT in http://www.twitch.tv/esquiladolive.

renxzenCan you please register this in the comp.tf wiki? Make an article of it.
There's like 0 presence of this happening in the past on the internet.

The other editions used to be announced in the old Brazilian TF2 blogs and in our forums.

The first edition (2010):
http://thedailybonk.wordpress.com/2010/06/29/review-da-partida-pubstars-x-pros-2/

Second edition (2011.. the one I played :d):
http://nextmap.wordpress.com/2011/12/16/pubbers-vs-pros/
http://nextmap.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/resultado-pubbers-vs-pros/

Third edition (2012):
(only thing I could find): http://www.teamfortress.com.br/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20399

Unfortunately the old blogs died, links broke and we lost part of the SA TF2 archives :(

But I might write something in the comp.tf when I find some free time.

I'm watching this live and I'm following it since the Tia Lani's owner posted it on our group. The pubbers DOESN'T KNOW each other, half team is from one server, half from another. They didn't even have time to practice or understand how competitive tf2 works. Since the beginning I said to Lani that this wouldn't work, not without practice and a little bit of time, but they accepted anyway. I am truly disappointed with this and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Chillout man, it's a friendly match and the objective here is to get the Pubbers attention: instead of making them frustrated and thinking "We're getting destroyed, this sucks." make them think like "I wanna play like this, be this good, play with organisation and a real objective." All of the players have no experience with competitive TF2. We want to bring new players to the scenary that may have the potential to be good in the future. ;)

That definitely made me look at the pros like they are douche bags that like to make fun of the pubbers. I want to stay far away from it. My pub is way more fun and fair.

Pubbing may be more fun for you and that is fine, but is is far from fair.

I know that, that's the point. The event gave no chance to the pubbers to prepare themselves. When you go to a pub the teams may not be balanced, but you know that's a possibility. Going to an event where you know nothing about without time to at least know a bit about it it's worse than any unbalanced match I've encountered.

Thanks everyone here who watched it! We were able to get almost 400 viewers, it was the biggest event ever in our small South American TF2 scene, and this success means a lot for everybody who helped to organize it.

Thanks for everyone who doesn't even understand the casters and watched it anyway!
