OBS refuses to record TF2

I know I'm probably better off posting this on OBSProject, but someone might be able to help me out here.

Basically, when I begin to stream, if I am in any TF2 menu, be it the home menu, backpack, loadout, whatever, OBS will record and stream fine.

However, if I even try to go into a server or out of the menu and back into the game, OBS' kb/s goes from high to nothing in an instant. Then, it automatically disconnects me from my stream, and attempts to reconnect, in which it fails to do so.

The best footage I have is this. I can freely move around in the menu, and then I go into a server. As soon as the client info is done sending, the stream disconnects.

Any ideas why this would be happening at all? I can post my OBS settings if required.

It's just a pain in the ass. I never had this problem with dxtory/xsplit, besides the fact those would cut my FPS down.

Any help would be fantastic. Thanks!

I have no idea why, but when I started streaming and I would always get disconnected randomly but when i checked the box to disable Aero automatically I haven't been disconnected since. Don't know if it'll fix it but it is at least something to try

Unfortunately, making OBS disable aero renders my stream entirely black. Very strange. Thanks for the suggestion anyway, kbk!

I had the same issue all day yesterday man, really frustrating. It was perfect the days before.

Might try posting some logs onto the OBS site and help the creator to see what's up.

edit: seems to be fixed today, think it was just my connection yesterday.

go to start menu, programs, open broadcaster software, then there is a link to the logs folder
