flatlineJason_HeyIs it possible to change the key that closes the class and team selection menu ( 0 for me atm) ?you can manually go into each file and change what key is after the & in the labeltext

Well there were no "&" in the Cancelbuttons labeltext of the classselect.res and teammenu.res but i figured it out for the classselect.res. Though it doesnt work for the teammenu.res. I made sure that i edit the right button and all but whatever i type as labetext doesnt change how it looks in the menu (always "Cancel[0]") and of course no other button except 0 close the menu.
Thanks for trying to help me , am still a little bumped about this -.-

that title (flathudLITE) is supposed to be in quotes. TF2 will accept it either way but it's best to conform to the VDF standard

Also, there seems to be no way to select desired maps from there, unless that error is to blame as well. In casual match, top bar with players has way too little space for nicks. Even mine is truncated, while in the default HUD I don't recall any nicks being cut short. And, a lot of text isn't localized and instead is in English, while it was in the default HUD.

the hud has not been updated after the recent tf2 update that added the map selection feature
Instead you could just select the gamemodes and maps you want to play on using the default hud and then switch back since your selections will now be kept

Can you use a font that doesn't differ drastically between Latin and Cyrillic characters? The latter are vastly bolder, making them larger, thus occupying more space, and I don't think you accounted for that, so some text doesn't fit.

flathud's fonts are definitely staples of its style lol, it's way too late to change them now (and i don't particularly want to)

to respond to your first question; international reception is definitely an afterthought in most huds, a lot of them (including flathud) have to disregard the #tf_language bits in order to display custom text (esp. in menus) so it doesn't translate over and is always in english. the way tf2 does things is that labeltexts for menus are tied to values in your localized #tf_language.txt, but when we remove those to make them the descriptions we want we lose the localization

the first priority is making the hud look good for english and more broadly latin character sets

yes, it's very hard because big noodle titling is a quite unique font
(also it's used in the promotional stuff as well which i REALLY don't want to redo)

i also know about that issue and i'm going to fix it. calm down. my entire life is not fixing flathud.

Can you add back Spy's disguise display, please? The reason I ask is because I play with my world model used instead of view models, and w/o that it's hard to know your cloak state precisely.
