1) It's called "CSecondaryTargetID" in hudlayout.res and the way long Medi Gun names break this has been annoying me too. I've tried everything but haven't found a proper fix yet. If I move it up, it will collide with the regular TargetID. Shortening "TargetDataLabel" doesn't work and reducing the width of the secondary TargetID alone doesn't seem to be possible either.

2) Put tf_hud_show_servertimelimit "1" in your config or console.

How do i change the heal medigun charge bar ? I don't like it splitted in 4. Can someone tell me how to change it to the default bar like in the standard broesel hud or how to remove it?

go to hudmediccharge and look at the chargemeterdividers, change those to visible "0"

Using your HUD for a while - I like it.

My only request - could you put the latest version # in the main post (on page 1 of the thread) so I don't have to go to (or near, now) the last page to find if you've done an update?

I feel really stupid for not being able to figure this out, but I'm trying to move around and change buttons on the main menu to customize a bit, and I can't get anything to change. So far CreateServerButton and MainMenuBGPanel are the only things that I've tried to edit that let me, and everything else stays the same even if I completely remove it. Is there something more to it than mainmenuoverride and gamemenu?

Edit: I decided to make a menu from scratch. I know being unable to edit it had something to do with button_kv though.

There's only resource/gamemenu and resource/ui/mainmenuoverride to edit. Also you have to restart your game for menu changes to apply. That's about it.

Please be aware however that the TargetID is still very buggy, and sometimes you'll see "%Health%" in place of the actual value! This is a Valve bug, and until they release an update that fixes this, there's nothing that I can do. Thanks!

It seems to be a tf2 issue not hud issue.

Thanks man. Didn't recall this being in previous updates but i guess i just got used to it and the new health position brought it back to my attention.

Been using your HUD since 2013, thank you for providing this.

How do I change the targetID hp back to the position prior to 3.6? It bothers me to have to look at 2 different locations to know who has how much health.

Thanks playmobot, I can confirm what rays said.

TargetID HP above players' heads is a Valve change, there's no way to revert it for now. You can try FAQ #9, maybe you find numeric TargetID HP less intrusive than the HP box.

Yes, I maintain the alternative files as well. They've been working without a fix though because the HP above players' heads is based on a file I've added earlier in version 3.5 (healthiconpanel_regular).

Something I noticed after the update, if you are on BLU and someone on RED kills you, the freezepanel background is blue instead of red. Anyway to fix this?

October 30 update: Added ConVar to disable floating health icon (tf_hud_target_id_disable_floating_health). When disabling floating health, the background of the HP box is slightly darker now because it overlaps with the TargetID’s background shade but this way both 1 and 0 are supported in broeselhud_blue 3.6, so it’s fine in my opinion.

Just tested that as well, it being slightly darker is fine I barely noticed it. Just leave it as is so people can use whatever style they prefer.

Hi! So, recently I've been using your HUD over the older Broesel HUD, and something came to my attention. I wanted the damage numbers (the ones above your opponents head) to be the same shade of yellow as the Broesel HUD numbers. I'm pretty sure it's as easy as finding the color values in the Broesel HUD and replicating them in BroeselHUD_blue my only question is "Which folder handles damage numbers? And once I find it, what particular part do I need to edit?" Thanks in advance.

This was happening to me also when I was using the default hud. So I'm assuming this is on valves end and not the hud.

Overlaps can't be avoided sometimes, considering the amount of HUD elements (Halloween on top of that) and different resolutions. It's HudSpellMenu in the hudlayout.res file.
