SetsulWhat do you mean maybe a PSU? Are you going to reuse parts?

I wrote "maybe" because i was suggested to buy this one http://it.pcpartpicker.com/product/MfJwrH/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr but i dont know if it's the best choice

SetsulAt least 500€ or maximum 500€?

i have to spend 500€ of my budget within 4 weeks because it's a sort of bonus i have that i won't be able to use after the end of august, i have no time restriction for the other part of my budget (300-350 €) so i need to know the final build within 4 weeks but in case it's better i could buy last pieces even after this 4 weeks deadline

Yeah that PSU makes no sense for you. That build needs less than half of that wattage.
I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to afford it either.

Last thingg: Links to the shops you'll be buying from or a price comparision site? PcPartpicker isn't great for Italy.

i'm new to computer building so all the things i wrote in previous posts were suggested to me by some friends, they also suggested me to buy from Amazon and/or http://www.taocomputer.eu/shop2007/ but i don't know if it's a good choice. My problem is that i don't know very much about computer building so i would be glad of any kind of help and advice

Some of these parts are just placeholders until I get around to manually searching for better/cheaper alternatives, don't have time to finish it today.

You could in theory buy everything except the GPU already, but prices should improve a bit if you wait so you might as well just get everything in one go in 2 or 3 weeks.

lapobaldinii'd like to play something like overwatch, FIFA, more recent war games with 100 stable fps in med/high resolution

Forgot to talk about that. I'm assuming 1920x1080? Which games exactly?
Just making sure, I know an RX 480 will be plenty for Overwatch and FIFA.

Yes, i already have a 1920x1080 display. Talking about games, it's enough for me for example to play overwatch in high res with 100 or more fps and games similar to that, so not overwatch specifically.
I also forgot to write on the first post that i have an Antec-Three Hundred case, even if i don't know if it's good and compatible for the components you suggested me.

1920x1080 = res
high refers to quality or settings.
Yes, I know not only Overwatch, that's why I asked what other games. "Not overwatch specifically" and "games similar to that" doesn't tell me anything I don't know already.

The case should be fine. Anything else that you could reuse?

I'd like to play FIFA and NBA2K for sure, and i also would like to be able to try Call of Duty, Counterstrike, Dark Souls, Fallout in a good video quality, but i'm just naming first games i could think of and i could maybe want to play other games in the future.

I dont have any other things i can reuse except case (and also except display, mouse and keybord)

Yo Setsul need some help, I got myself a good enough computer where I can play tf2 on chris configs with well over 60 fps and it feel's smooth, but when I play matchmaking where I'm required to play on dx9 with most of the commands on chris txt not allowed. so it's less than 60 fps, which is not good. So I have two ancient cards the ati radeon x1300 256mb or the geforce 210 512mb, which one is better? I also have a e8400 core 2 duo.

So, my brother needs a new PC, he doesnt need it for games or anything just a basic PC that will work good, something really cheap.
I would appreciate it if someone could help me get a list of parts from this site http://en.ksp.co.il or amazon could be good as well.
Thanks for anyone who can help.

Hello,

Me and my friend wants to buy two same PCs.
Price: ~900-1000 euros. (no Monitor)

I've built this so far but it's little bit expensive:
http://www.skytech.lt/krepselis-104113.html

Computer would be used for programming, video editing and gaming. We'd much prefer better processor over GPU.
Do you think I can save some money somewhere?

If you'll look at prices search at this is the shop: http://www.skytech.lt/

Any budget? I don't want to cheap out too much.

#1451
Yep, that's a trainwreck.

Some things I'd change and some questions before I figure out a better part list.

The most important thing first:
"ASRock Z170 PRO4/D3, Z170, DualDDR3-1600"
"DDR4 Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB 2666MHz CL15"
That's not going to work. It wouldn't even fit.

Next the 212 Evo, same as AiOs, it has no right to be used that much. I mean when it's on sale for 20$, maybe 25$, sure it's a decent cooler. But twice that? Yeah not happening. There's enough coolers out there that are cooler, quieter and cheaper at the same time. I'll have to check which one is the best in that shop but I've already seen the ETS-T40.

Related to the cooler, are you going to overclock? If you have to cheap out on the cooler something is wrong. You're paying 40€ just for the K CPU not to mention the Z170 mobo. Saving 20€ on the cooler and ending up with a 5% overclock really isn't worth it.
What I'm trying to say is only pay for overclocking if you actually want and need the better performance. And then actually do it, not just have a K CPU and a big cooler and run on stock speeds. If you don't you just wasted money.

I wouldn't recommend the 750 Evo. It's not cheap enough to be a budget SSD and not fast enough to justify the price either.

As for the HDD the Seagate Barracuda is cheaper and faster.

PSU isn't good either. Also 650W make no sense.

Last but not least, the GPU.
How soon are you going to build? 307€ for a reference 480 is insane. The best custom designs should be that price and they are much faster, plus they can overclocked properly since they don't run it the power and temperature limit nearly as soon.

Could you then build a PC with prices given on my shop (www.skytech.lt). I think we would consider i7-6700 and H170 over K version of processor.

We're planning to get computer until September (2-3 weeks from now on).

P.S.

I could use more lithuanian shops but prices are very similar or higher than in skytech.

Sure I will.
I'll wait two weeks though if that's ok for you so I see what prices the 480 ends up at and more importantly which ones will be in stock at all.

Hey, my friend wants to build a new pc, we worked off my old parts list and came up with this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Budget is ~AU$1300, with a little flexibility. He mainly plays tf2 but also wants to be able to play new triple A games at reasonable framerates etc.

The graphics card is a nice deal I found on ozbargain from amazon uk (https://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00XKS2MR8/ozba-21) and I double checked the price conversion myself today so it should be fairly accurate. He likes the look of that case and needs an optical drive to play old cd games etc. Probably doesn't need more than 1tb of storage because right now on his potato he's using 300 GB, and that's without an ssd.

He lives out in this sticks in nsw so really has to have the parts shipped from somewhere. We were looking at getting the bulk of it from newegg but it looks to be cheaper to just get everything bar the graphics card from pccasegear.

Just wanted to double check it with you here before he buys it, Setsul, because you were so helpful before when I was building my pc. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, so after many many years of using this setup, i think its time to upgrade it a bit.

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K
GPU: GeForce GTX 560 Ti
Motherboard: Intel DH67VR
8 Gigs of RAM

My question is what to upgrade and what parts should i pick. I'm thinking of getting a new GPU, SSD and a new cooler to overclock the CPU. Do i need anything else? Budget is flexible but i would like to keep it under 750 euros. Thanks in advance!

600-700 ILS?

#1456
Everything seems to be fine.
Pretty good actually.

#1457
GPU and SSD yes. Cooler no.
Unless I'm mistaken H67 only allows you to lock the multiplier to the highest turbo and your old cooler should be able to handle that.

Size for the SSD?
Rough target for the GPU? As in game / settings / resolution / fps. No point in upgrading just for the sake of upgrading.

Thanks for helping me Setsul. For the SSD is 250GB okay? i'm probably going to put the OS + Steam on it. For the GPU Full HD resolution and the ability to play all the new games (GTA V, Witcher 3 etc) on high settings.

Difficult.
Getting a used PC would probably be better.
The problem is that there's no cheap FM2+ and no FM2 mobos at all in that shop. So even with an A4-4000 it ends up at 500 just for the CPU + mobo. A Pentium which is significantly faster + mobo are "only" 550. But either way once you add RAM, an HDD or SSD you're already over budget.

So the only option is an AM1 build with a Sempron, similar to what they are already offering.

Not exactly great, I think you should be able to find something better used.

#1460
I don't know, it's for you not for me. But I guess it should be enough. Has worked out for me so far.
850 Evo? Sandisk Extreme Pro if you want something faster, 850 Pro is even faster than that. Obviously more expensive.

High or highest? How much fps though. There's a huge difference between 30, 60 and 120/144 in terms of GPU power required. For 60 fps I'd say an RX 470 is enough.

Hey, the 470 has been released 2 days ago and I'm ready to buy and build the new PC.

My budget it 700 euro max and I'd like the PC to be good enough for consistent 144fps (or at least 100+ fps) on TF2, CS:GO and Overwatch if possible. I don't mind if I have to lower the settings on Overwatch to get solid fps.

I will have to be buying it from a local store so these 2 are the most popular ones here:
https://www.links.hr/en/
http://www.instar-informatika.hr - under Izbor Valute in the top right corner you can chose Eur (€)

This is the build you were aiming at last time:

Setsul#1373
When are you going to build?

If you can wait for the 470 / 460, those should be just about what you need.

How much storage do you need? It would make it easier if you need less than 250GB because then you wouldn't need an HDD for now, but HDD + SSD should be possible as well.

I haven't worked out the exact prices and components yet but the usual i5-6500 (maybe 6600), 8GB RAM, 250GB 850 Evo etc. build should work.

I am completely fine with 250GB of space.

Thank you for your time Setsul!

Yeah, I'll make the list in 2 weeks, just post again if I forget to.

Budget in Kn would actually be better. I'll get on it later today.

Alright well, turns out I can have up to 7000kn max in budget which makes for ~900 euro.

Since my budget is higher than I expected it to be, I am thinking of maybe even buying a new monitor by cutting some of the budget for the components and buying a monitor with it.

I am thinking of 120hz and 144hz monitors. Do you think I could get a 120/144hz monitor alongside a good PC with this budget?

I forgot to ask if you need an ODD.
Won't quite finish it today but monitor is going to be difficult.
I'll show you the options tomorrow but it'll probably mean dropping down to an i3.

Also RX 470s aren't listed yet so I'm just guessing the price.

@Setsul

I've been playing a lot of Overwatch and am getting massive frame drops on my aging potato, even on the lowest settings. What would I have to build to get a solid 144Hz experience? I've heard good things about Freesync and am willing to go that route if it means tolerating occasional sub-144 fps dips without tearing. I really would like to spend less than $1200 or so, as well (but this is flexible).

I've been keeping my eye on the recent GPU releases (RX 480/GTX 1060) and the price gouging & stock situation is pretty annoying. Should I wait for everything to normalize? Is it worth going with discounted previous gen cards like the Fury or 980 (Ti)? I'm not really sure what to do at the moment.

I guess just buying a monitor later would be the better choice then.
I'll be fine without a new monitor.
I'd prefer a 900 euro PC build without a monitor.
Sorry for the bother, I was just wondering if it would be worth it but it doesn't seem so.
