My brother got me to play it and introduced me to FORTRESS OF FAPITUDE 3: TURTLES IN TIME. From there on I would terrorize Fighting Amphibians as the largest faggot to ever grace the community and think he was good while actually being shit until I got a decent computer christmas of 08 and started playing with J.Crew/Tourneyfags Anonymous PUGs. The community ran two servers essentially which were Idort's Revenge and FoF3 and the "better" players were always assumed to have played on Idort's until Prometheus + Bob decided he was going to make a team out of the FoF regulars. What was originally team squirtle squad became the mathackers when Washington took it over.

Then the mathackers were harbl/wash/GARticuno/bill s. preston/ted "theodore" logan/myself/yakumo ran/Inherited Bowel Levitation/Chaddy/Stinky Diver/traffic cone/reject and probably a few more. Wash left to join hostile faction, which left Harbl in charge for maybe a month or two before he joined helix. The mathackers died officially shortly after and I got introduced to DZeroX through a friend I met in gathers and afterward I joined CAKE and started actually reading gotfrag. It was just my luck that CAKE was essentially a reformed business time that added myself/DZero/Fabri to the roster.

Oh and special shoutout to BOEN for first getting me to play a tourneyfags anonymous PUG

breloomboutrosBefore I was even playing TF2 regularly I saw your Viva La Breloom shoutcast recommended to me on YouTube and I watched it. Quickly watched several other competitive matches and knew that I wanted to get in on whatever it was they were doing. ~600 hours of TF2 later, I'm on my first sixes team playing medic. So thanks for that, I guess.why the fuck would you watch that

I thought it was absolutely hilarious you dropping minis for most of that game.

I wasn't new to fps as a competitive genre but was completely unaware of tf2 comp.

I started off pubbing eventually pub stomping in the NO HEROES warpath server, then some drama and shit went down and me along with a lot of people got banned (l0l). Some of the good guys who dailyed on NO HEROES formed their own community DP aka double penetration. I pubbed solely on these servers and at its prime it was huge, they also hosted do pugs, low level pugs on Thursday and Friday nights. You would sign up for what class to play on the forums LOL but it was great. this is wrre i met a bunch of people who were good at tf2, and it was great. I met anonemouse in dp pugs, Dp community had a twl div 4 team and cevo-free season4. I was backup demo/Solly until I managed to get myself a starting spot, great group of guys and an awesome community. I really hope communities like this still exist and host there own in house pugs, because its a great system that gets people into the game.

Back in the day we would scrim RP aka reality project a fellow cevo free team with some familiar names, it was Zakirll blind talent binary star Technosex riverdragon and defy would play for them too.. Good times

O yea we would also scrim the ]TPG[ community team with Silentbob boomer and bunch of other randoms.. Shit was classic bro

I hope stuff like this still exists. Rival pug communities scrimming and stuff

Shout out to athletes foot, lonewolf, preacher, br4dz, o ya and that idiot defy.. He reppd dp too lol

Uh. I don't even know if I remember. I think a few of my friends on a pub needed a medic, I enjoy playing medic, so I joined up with them and played a season of TWL. That shit was horrible. Made it to the playoffs by winning two games. Lost two, and got four default wins. Team broke apart before we got to play our first playoff game.

Fresh out of NS and CS semi competitively (and WoW I suppose), I jumped into TF2 and the first thing I played was 2fort instaspawn. This was where I spent the majority of my time, as well as a large amount of medic pub bitch healing the top fragger. Go forward a bit and I stumbled upon the Reptile frag video, which made me want to actually get into the comp side of TF2.

I started playing a lot of pub as soldier and was eventually asked to join a team by "aim superstar" lottic (who some of you may know of). I spent most of my time in random New Zealand teams playing at dinner time much to my mother's stress. It took a while before I joined an actual notable team, intensity, and played with someone that I have played with ever since (someone that I'm sure you all know): sheep.

I've spent a lot of time since 2007 playing this game and I don't regret a minute (apart from when I didn't apply to join a team in '08 and instead briefly left for WoW :/).

I used to pub on The Furry Pound servers with m0lk, Duey, and Tagg. I liked playing scout so I asked m0lk who the best scouts were. He gave me some names and I watched some demos and such before finally deciding to join a team. I sucked shit ever since until last November when I became a LAN CHAMPION by watching disengage hit sick middies and crumpet dropping ubers while waiting for my respawn timer
